About Chris Thompson

In August of 1987, Chris Thompson dedicated his life to the Lord Jesus Christ after 29 years of making his own way through the world. He immediately fell in love with the Word of God and spent many hours reading and seeking a closer walk with God. God began to reveal His plan for Chris’s life through prison ministry and street evangelism. Chris would go out and share his testimony of how God miraculously delivered him from a life of drug and alcohol abuse; how God had supernaturally protected him from death on several occasions and how God had a calling on his life to share the good news of a second chance at life through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Chris worked at a local church for several years and continued to study God’s Word through World Evangelism Fellowship. He eventually founded Power Source Ministries Inc., an international evangelistic ministry dedicated to sharing God’s plan of hope to thousands of people around the world. He has traveled to such countries as India, Liberia, Kenya and Romania to speak words of life into pastors, teachers and lay people of every denomination. Chris has spoken at anointed conferences and services where the Spirit of Lord has manifest Himself through deliverance, healings and miracles. Chris has a passion for speaking God’s prophetic word into the lives of men, women and young people of all ages. He has been used of the Lord to speak timely words of knowledge and words of wisdom that have proven to be God’s direction for that person in that hour.

Chris has recently been certified through the John Maxwell Team to coach, speak, and teach on the laws of leadership and how to apply them into everyday life. Chris believes that everyone has leadership qualities, designed by God and built within, that only need to be revealed and tapped into. He believes there is a hero inside of everyone that wants to do something great. His greatest desire is to see every individual reach their full potential and find God’s perfect will for their own life. Chris believes that each and every person is very special to God and that He created them to do something very special that only they can do. Chris’s passion is to help others discover the hidden potential that dwells within and develop the leadership qualities that will enable them to impact the people around them and make a difference in the world where they live.

Chris is a native of Durham, North Carolina and resides there with his wife. Between them, they have four children ranging between the ages of 18 and 24. Chris enjoys mission trips and all types of outdoor activities. He also enjoys motorcycles, rafting, roller coasters and running. He has just recently completed his first half marathon and has aspirations to participate in future events.
